Travel Brochure Checklist
Front:
At the top is an attention getting slogan.
In the middle is a picture:
You may cut the picture from a magazine, or find a picture on the internet.
Instructions for copying a picture from the internet.
Find a picture of your city on the Internet.
a) Put the mouse over the top of the picture and click the right mouse button.
b) Select copy from the menu.
c) Then click the right mouse button in this box and choose paste from the menu to place your picture here.
d) Use the black square handles to resize your picture.
e) Cite where you found your picture for the back page

Your sources go here:
a) When you use information from a web page, write the entire web address. Example: www.ohwy.com/wa/homepage.htm
b) When you use information from a book, list the title and the author. Example: Kids Go Seattle by Donna Bergman
c) When you use information from an encyclopedia list the title, volume number, and year. Example: World Book Encyclopedia, Volume 3, 1999
d) When you use information from a pamphlet, list the title and who published it. Example: Seattle’s Favorite Attractions, Puget Sound Attractions Council

One of your favorite pictures (use the same directions you used for the front!)
Inside Left:
Write at least 4 complete sentences about the location / cities of your province or territory (major cities, where it is located in respect to other areas of Canada).
Insert a map below the text.
Inside Middle:
Write at least 4 complete sentences about the government of your province or territory (when it joined Canada, current leaders, important historic leaders and events).
Write at least 6 complete sentences about the economy of your province or territory (imports and exports, currency, current strength and weaknesses)
Write at least 4 complete sentences about the people of your province or territory (different ethnic groups that live there; traditions of different peoples, how cultures of these peoples are evident in different aspects of life in the territory or province ).
Inside Right:
Write at least 4 complete sentences about how daily life in an area reflects the culture of the people populating it.
Write at least 4 complete sentences about the different cultural/historic sites and activities that happen each year.
